Brett Gyarfas, PhD
Embedded Software

Ph.D. in Computer Engineering with 10+ years building engineering teams and developing software for research and devices.

Brett is identifeye HEALTH’s Principal Integration Engineer. Prior to joining identifeye HEALTH, Brett was Principal Engineering Architect at Ontera, Inc. (formerly Two Pore Guys, Inc.), where he was responsible for the design and implementation of software systems for a single molecular diagnostic device that was able to perform real-time detection of single molecule events. Prior to joining Ontera, he co-founded Quantum-Si, Inc. within the 4Catalyzer family, where he played a pivotal role in building the engineering teams and developing a variety of software to accelerate research and development that resulted in the first commercially available next-generation single-molecule protein sequencing system. This included custom lab automation/augmentation, machine vision data analysis pipelines and custom silicon device characterization and optimization. Brett holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of California Santa Cruz and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Washington State University. He has contributed to numerous publications and holds over 10 patents related to molecular sensing and device analysis.
